THE IMPORTANCE OF THE BREEDING MARES
We sincerely believe the quality, movement and temperament of our mares is just as (if not more) important than the stallion we carefully select for them. Our mares are outstanding in all aspects and come from long established top romany bloodlines.
Temperament, conformation and talent are each critically tied to the mare's genetic structure, a structure she passes from generation to generation. A rule of thumb in the breeding world is that you can breed a great mare to a mediocre stallion and still have a nice foal. But breed an undesirable mare to a great stallion? The results will be disastrous. (January 2003 issue of Dressage Today)
